My first Toastmasters speech on social media & the power of vulnerability

We live in a world today where a lot of us are walking around with a facade/mask and we are very afraid of being real with not only others, but with ourselves. Some of us are not ok with who we are as people and instead of taking some time out for ourselves to reflect, we resort to social media and scroll for hours to numb the feeling of not knowing who we are because it scares us. I found that as I allowed myself to become more vulnerable with not only others and myself- that my whole world started to change and doors started opening and my relationships improved and rose to new levels. Beautiful things truly happen when you are real and honest with yourself and others and you are not afraid of being vulnerable.
